Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater will have a new weapon when the Minnesota Vikings' 2015 season begins, after the team received wide receiver Mike Wallace from the Miami Dolphins in a trade completed Friday, March 13th.

In exchange for Wallace and a 2015 seventh-round draft pick, the Vikings sent a 2015 fifth-round draft pick to the Dolphins.

Wallace signed a lucrative $60 million contract with the Dolphins in 2013, but fell out of favor after a sideline altercation in week 17 of the 2014 season, according to ESPN.

Wallace led the Dolphins in receiving yards and touchdowns in 2014. Adding Wallace to the Vikings' receiving corps will give Bridgewater the big-yardage option the team lacked last season.

The trade for Wallace made wide receiver Greg Jennings expendable. The Vikings released him on Saturday.
