Will The Timberwolves Change Their Name To The “A-RODS”?

I've been keeping my eye-balls peeled on this story. Remember a fellow by the name of Alex Rodriguez? If you are a die-hard Minnesota sports fan, just the mere mention of A-Rod will no doubt cause your body to flench and quite possibly go into convulsions - If you are wondering why - let's do some quick math. Mr. Rod played baseball for the dreaded New York Yankees from 2004 to 2016. Minnesota Twins have had, Ummm, just a tad bit bad luck with the Bronx Bombers - The Twins have lost 16 straight postseason games -  these 13 to the Yankees. See what I mean?

Now it appears that we no longer have to have ill feelings toward the former pin-stripe wearer - According to ESPN "A.R" is going to be a part of the Minnesota Timberwolves - in the National Basketball Association.  Minnesota Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor has agreed to sell the team to former baseball star Alex Rodriguez and e-commerce mogul Marc Lore. Rodriguez and Lore will take over the Timberwolves and the WNBA's Lynx for $1.5 billion, with the deal expected to close around July 1. 

This isn't Rodriguez's first attempt at buying a professional sports team - last year he and Lore lost out to hedge fund manager Steve Cohen. This isn't a sure thing yet though, Any sale of an NBA club must be approved by the league's board of governors. The Timberwolves would become the second NBA franchise sold this season. Lore and A-Rod have already toured the Timberwolves facility. No word yet if the deal becomes official, will Minnesota change their name to the "A-Rods" - only time will tell on that.
