The next couple of days will be frigid no matter what the Groundhog says. Here's a drink to get through it.

Pickle Juice Whiskey Sour.

oz bourbon
oz dill pickle juice
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Old Bay seasoning, for rim
Cornichons, for garnish
Lemon Slices, for garnish
DIRECTIONS
  1. Combine bourbon, pickle juice and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake until the outside of the cocktail shaker feels cold.
  2. Run a lemon slice around the rims of two cocktail glasses, then dip the rims in Old Bay.
  3. Pour the bourbon mixture into glasses and garnish each with a cornichon and lemon slice.
Pickle Juice Whiskey Sours
ALEXA PAYESKO
The cool thing about this drink is that it combines the whiskey and the chaser all in one shot. Plus that pickle juice taste will cut anything including some whiskeys. The Bourbon, however, has a sweetness that would rise above the taste and actually add to the flavor. As a man, I probably wouldn't use the pickle garnish but then again it 's up to you.  The recipe comes from Delish.com.
