First of all, let's get past the jealousy part, ok?

I have to do this every time I bring up my car. I start talking about it, someone sees a picture of it or catches me inside it and they immediately get jealous. Yes, I own and drive a 2001 Chevy Impala, and it's SILVER by the way. I'm only going to say this and brag one last time, it goes 0 to 60 in 6 and a half minutes.

One thing I heard about and knew I was going to experience myself, happened last week

I have been living in North Dakota for about 7 and a half years, and have driven through all types of weather conditions. Just past Grand Forks one time, I came across a white-out. Yet through this whole time out here, I had never experienced what it is like when you lose complete control of your vehicle, until just last Friday.

I was ONLY going about 15 to 20 miles per hour when I felt the car veer to the left.

I had just left my apartment at around 7:30 am, heading to work on a side street, when I looked about 100 yards ahead and saw what looked like sheer ice on the road. It pretty much was. I remember the road slightly veering left, and when I reached that patch, my car took over. Feeling it slide, and the tires had zero traction, I spun around, almost doing a 360. I didn't hit the brakes, nor try and fight the steering wheel. I ended up heading in the right direction and slowly getting out of that dangerous spot. Everyone told me when I got to work that I did the right thing, by not hitting the brakes.

What are the 5 best things you can do when your car is spinning out of control?

According to fixautousa.com here are 5 things you can do when your car is spinning out of control: 1) Avoid slamming on the brakes or speeding up.2) Reduce your speed. 3) Keep the steering wheel straight 4) Maintain firm pressure on the brake pedal 5) Pull off to the side of the road. Now for all the North Dakota natives, I'm sure you have been through this many times. I just wanted to throw this to anyone who may have not.

FINALLY, I am sorry for one thing

I know quite well that my car is, how do I put this, considered by many, a "Babe-Magnet". So I am sorry if I have distracted anyone out in the Bismarck/Mandan area.
