The key to winning is consistency, hammering out all the kinks, staying together as a team, and playing together as one - That's essentially what the Minnesota Vikings just locked up. Vikings coach Mike Zimmer and general manager Rick Spielman both had their contracts ticking away until the end of the 2020 NFL season. Here is the dilemma, should you wait and see how this year's season plays out BEFORE you make a decision on what to do with your two essential people, or do you lock them down now? The Vikings have been in contention to earn a trip to the Super Bowl for a while now, and to lose Zimmer and Speilman at the same time would be quite a loss.

Then again rolling the dice and bringing in some new personnel hoping to revamp their organization into a Super Bowl-winning team is always a strong thought. New deals for both men keep them with Minnesota as a multiyear extension was announced yesterday. Both men have provided the firepower for the Vikings who have a young team hungry for positive results. Any changes by the front office at this point of time - as in new key figures - could completely derail any progress this time has made in the past. Freshly signed GM Rick Spielman had this to say "I know every day we come to this building, and the only thing that we want to accomplish is to win a Super Bowl. There's no one that deserves that honor more than our ownership, this organization, and especially our fans"  He and Zimmer received a three-year extension.

Now it's time for the Minnesota Vikings to get down to business and get the purple and gold a Super Bowl trophy. For more on this story click here.
