University of Mary Nursing Program Recognized As Nation’s Best

The University of Mary is receiving praise nationally after recently being named the best nursing program in the country by Mountain Measurements, a nursing national benchmarking service.

The rankings are based off of the test results of Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing  graduates who took the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses exam. In 2018, all 66 of U-Mary's graduates who took the exam for the first time passed.

The exam tests the level of competency of graduates, to make sure they are truly ready to enter the medical workforce. U-Mary's great scores helped it edge out other schools to earn the top ranking.

Glenda Reemts, professor and chair of the Division of Nursing at the University of Mary, was pleased to U-Mary get recognized for the accomplishments of both its students and faculty.

"Now, the University of Mary is respected across the nation for its strong nursing program that is set apart by incorporating a curriculum that is intense, challenging and patient centered — always following the core Christian principals that stem from the Benedictine values lived out by our founders. Now the program and its students are reaping the rewards for its classroom and clinical rigors," Reemts was quoting saying in the Bismarck Tribune.
