What is the state of the homeless in central North Dakota?

It's been a rough year for the homeless in the Bismarck/Mandan/Lincoln community, most notably after the Fall 2017 closing of Ruth Meyers Hospitality House put an added strain on the availability of shelter.

Despite an outgrowth of support, planning for the shelter proved an execise in frustration, especially coming as it did during the worst possible time of the year.

On the latest edition of SuperTalk 1270's "Community Talk" program, Jena Gullo and Amanda Schweiters of the Misssouri Slope United Way talk about the progress they have made over the past year in housing the homeless in the Capitol City area.

Jenna Gullo is the Executive Director of Missouri Slope United Way in Bismarck. Reach her and Amanda Schweiters through the United Way Facebook page.
