Toys for Tots at Bill Barth Ford-Mazda-Kia; TSM Stations Wage Friendly Competition to Get Toys

It's a friendly battle, and we're a group of competitive radio gurus! The battle wages on! The Toys for Tots toy drive kicked off this week at Bill Barth Ford-Mazda-Kia on the strip in Mandan.

It was so innocent when the dealership asked Townsquare Media to help promote the event to generate new toys for children and families in need of cheer this holiday season. It was undoubtedly a YES in reply to the assistance. Yes, of course Hot 975, The Fox 965 and 1033 US COUNTRY would be more than happy to help.

Here is where it gets sketchy. In typical competitive fashion, Lar Dawg said that his listeners would donate more toys because his audience always comes through when asked. Then we have the new kid, Joey Dee, afternoons on Hot 975, wanting to make his mark in the community, dug his feet in the ground and said "yea, right Lar, you under estimate the power of the Hot 975 listeners"!

Then of course, Matt, the afternoon dude on The Fox, is always looking to join in on any and every controversy, jumped in with his fighting words. So then, next thing you heard, these three guys are spending time and energy to raise toys and out do each other for the Toys for Tots drive!

It's all in fun and a good time was had during a 3 station live broadcast from the dealership on Saturday. All three stations encouraged their listeners to come out, donate toys and each station had incentives for listeners that made donations!

Saturday, we had a great turn out, and the Toys for Tots toy drive continues through December 13th. Simply drop off a new toy in one of the three boxes, clearly marked for each station. I'm sure you'll hear more about the toy drive as the guys will continue to ask for new toys as we try to out do each other.
