It wasn't just the clothes the thieves wanted, they also wanted a way to transport the clothes.

Three Bismarck men, Ronald Aiken, Lawrence Bearking, and Kelly McLeod, have been accused of stealing more than $1,000 in clothing, and two shopping carts, from the Bismarck Kohl's location. All three have been charged with Class C felony to commit theft of property.

According to affidavits from Bismarck Police Officer Jon Lahr, which were given to The Bismarck Tribune:

Officers were called to Kohl’s at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday for a report of men filling a shopping cart with merchandise. The employees reported they had other recent incidents where people filled carts with merchandise, then ran out the door, threw the carts into vehicles and fled.

Officers were outside when two men, later identified as Aiken and Bearking, ran from the store pushing two carts. They put the carts into a pickup, which fled the scene.

One of the missing shopping carts, filled with merchandise, was recovered. McLeod, and the second shopping cart, are still missing.
