Ah, yes...the microwave. A great device if you want to heat your food, but don't care how well it's cooked. Luckily, one inventor is hoping to change the microwave's one glaring flaw.

YouTuber Mark Rober realized that while almost all other technology has improved over the years, the microwave has remained unchanged and kind of awful.

So, he found an incredibly easy and inexpensive way to change the microwave forever: add an infrared camera.

Infrared cameras can see the temperature of things, which means you'll know exactly when your meal is done cooking. The food will start blue, as it's cold, and as it cooks, it will turn white, meaning it's done. No more half-cooked burritos and kinda warm but kinda not pizza.
