The Treehouse, a museum space designed especially for children and is located in the State Heritage Center is now open.

The Treehouse introduces young visitors to the museum world. With hands-on activities it allows kids to explore North Dakota life both past and present.

Some of the exhibits include a grain elevator, steamboat, locomotive, flight simulator, and a fire station. Located above the Missouri River Events Center, kids can climb into a birds-eye view and learn while having fun!

The Treehouse was slated to open in 2016 but opened a bit early over the Christmas holiday weekend.

The Treehouse is FREE for everyone and hours are the same as the Heritage Center - 8- 5pm M-F; Sat. & Sun. 10am - 5pm
