Move over, Fred Fridley, because North Dakota has a new winningest high school football coach in state history: Linton-HMB's Dan Imdieke!

Imdieke notched his 322nd career victory Friday night, September 25th, against Strasburg-Zeeland.

According to Idaho Statesman, Imdieke began his coaching career back in 1977 and has led Linton/Linton-HMB to twelve state championship games. His teams have won five of them.

When asked what it felt like to move past former Watford City coach Fred Fridley on the all-time wins list, Imdieke said the following:

It's an honor and a privilege to be in this position, but Fred is still the man as far as I'm concerned. I know and respect Fred, I coached against him, and we're good friends. I kind of wish we had stayed tied.

Linton-HMB's next game is Friday, October 2nd, against Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter.
