Back in 1995, the Metallica members, decked out in long black-haired wigs, took the stage at Los Angeles' Whisky-a-Go-Go to play a set of Motorhead songs in honor of Lemmy Kilmister's 50th birthday. Now, the famous venue has just posted video from the performance on YouTube.

Record Store Day is coming up fast, and two of classic rock's finest have been added to the list of artists who will have exclusives available for the annual event. Legacy Recordings will be offering up vinyl exclusives on Aerosmith and Jimi Hendrix for this year's celebration of independent record stores.

The new Alice in Chains disc will become available on May 28 (not May 14, as previously reported), and guitarist Jerry Cantrell has offered some interesting insight on the concept behind the disc's name and its title track.

Ronnie James Dio was perhaps metal's greatest singer of all time, and it was a true tragedy when he passed away in 2010. Dio's music has remained captivating as its continued to age, and that fact is being celebrated through a upcoming reissue of the 'Finding the Sacred Heart - Live in Philly 1986' on DVD, Blu-ray, CD and vinyl formats.

Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are getting ready for their return to the road in New Zealand and Australia this spring, followed by an expected North American trek in the summer. The band is making their first extended tour run since guitarist Tony Iommi was diagnosed with lymphoma and underwent chemotherapy last year, and Osbourne says his Sabbath bandmate is doing quite well.

Since its release in 1973, Pink Floyd's 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' has become one of the best-selling records of all time. The album is certified for sales of more than 15 million in the United States alone, and stayed on Billboard's Top 200 for 741 weeks. It celebrates its 40th anniversary this month.
