For the first time in school history, Shiloh Christian High School can call themselves state champions.

The Shiloh Christian Lady Skyhawks defeated Watford City 45-40 to win the 2016 North Dakota Girls' Basketball State Class B championship Saturday night, March 5th, at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.

The Lady Skyhawks went into the tournament unseeded and pulled off upsets over Rugby, North Star, and Watford City in the championship game to bring home the school's first ever state championship in any sport.

Senior guard Krista Ulmer led the Lady Skyhawks with 19 points. Amber Stevahn added 12 points in the Lady Skyhawks victory.

Ulmer was also named to the all-tournament team by the media covering the tournament, as was Brittan Grubb.
