Are you making plans for the fourth of July weekend? Yes, I agree, the lack of firework activity due to the drought is a bummer, however, I know that most North Dakotans value the long weekend coming up as more than just a day off from work. Red, white, and blue flags will be everywhere, and our thoughts will be on appreciating our country and our daily freedom. So with that, when I saw the title of an article put out by Wallethub 2021's Most Patriotic States In America - without reading anything more, I would bet money North Dakota would be in the top ten of this list.

Without further delays, Wallethub says that North Dakota is ranked #6 out of our 50 States. Do you find yourself curious about how they come to their findings? Here is part of what Wallethub based their list on -

"WalletHub compared the states across 13 key indicators of patriotism. Our data set ranges from the state’s military enlistees and veterans to the share of adults who voted in the 2020 presidential election to AmeriCorps volunteers per capita."

Some other stats mentioned by Wallethub included Active Duty Personnel Per 100,000 Civilian Adults. Volunteer Rate, a Percentage of Adults who voted in 2020 Presidential Election. Montana headed up the list as #1 and clear at the very bottom, at #50 was New York. Now that vaccinations are clearly available, and more of our normal routine is coming back to us, our lives feel even more free.
