You may have seen the photo spreading across social media over the weekend.  A billboard near the town of Fosston, Minnesota had a humorous message for the Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz.  It read, "Governor Walz- Northern, MN is trying to see things from your point of view."  The picture is what makes it "gut busting funny".  It shows a man with a head going up his a$$.  The billboard is sponsored by Rocks and Cows of the North.  This is another clever shot at Governor Walz as he attacked rural Minnesota by saying it's "Mostly rocks and cows".

Fosston, Minnesota is about an hour east of Grand Forks, North Dakota on highway 2.  Northern Minnesota, and particularly northwest Minnesota has always been very conservative.  So the governors remarks about rocks and cows didn't go over to well with this part of the state.  Adding fuel to the fire is Governor Walz new mask mandate that went into effect on July 25th, 2020.  Executive order 20-81, the people of the Minnesota are required to wear masks or face coverings in all public indoors paces, including businesses unless you are working alone.  You are also required to wear face masks when working outdoors when social distancing can't be achieved according to the Minnesota Department of Health.

Regardless of the mask mandate or not, Governor Walz certainly did alienate rural areas of Minnesota by his comment.  I guess we'll find out if his message will cost him re-election in the future.  According the to the billboard, he won't be able to see what he's doing anyway.
