The Chicago Cubs have a long history with Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, so it was of no surprise that the vocalist found himself in the booth to lead the faithful Cubs fans through the 7th Inning stretch during Game 5 of the World Series with a rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." What was a surprise was that Vedder was joined by the voice and a video of late Cubs announcer Harry Caray, adding a special touch to the performance.

Vedder, who has been one of the more prominent celebrity Cubs fans, addressed the crowd before singing the familiar favorite. "Hey Chicago, look at this, look at you. Wrigleyville is full, it's Oct. 30 and there's baseball at Wrigley Field for the first time in history. I know we want to thank Theo [Epstein] and Tom [Ricketts] and Joe [Maddon] for the team and bringing the World Series to Wrigley Field 2016," stated Vedder to the cheers of the crowd.

He also added a dedication of his own, continuing, "There's one guy in particular I want to sing my ass for and he's No. 3 behind the plate. He may retire but he'll never quit. Mr. David Ross, I want to belt this one out for you. It's his last game at Wrigley. Let's sing it for him. Let's sing it for Harry [Caray]."

Ross has played for a number of teams throughout his career and has long been a clubhouse favorite amongst the players. Referred to as "Grandpa Rossy," the catcher stated earlier this season that it would likely be his final year. "We love you Rossy," concluded Vedder. "Let's take this show to Cleveland."

Vedder followed on the heels of actors Bill Murray and Vince Vaughn who sang "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the first two games at Wrigley Field. With the Cubs winning Game 5, the series returns to Cleveland for the final two games with the Indians up 3-2 in the series.
