I'm pretty confident in saying this, I can speak for ALL Of Bismarck and Mandan - "Thinking of you Dolly Dakota"

I remember the first time I met Dolly Dakota. I came out from Minot to help another radio company with a remote, and there she was - TALLER than Shaquille O'Neal in personality - she greeted me with a smile and I'm sure within 4-5 seconds she was sharing her love for cats and the Kansas City Chiefs football team. Dolly was made for the radio, meaning that her soothing voice and next-door-neighbor-like style was Perfect for making people feel good, about themselves and the city we live in. Her biggest appeal as far as I am concerned is her honesty and ability to share her battle...with cancer.

Sharing her fight against an angry foe, Dolly has opened her heart and soul to her "Listeners" ( Her other family as far as she is concerned )

Many times I have left work and tuned in to hear Dolly explain her thoughts and emotions, I believe this was a strength she has, therapy if you will, to keep "Her other family" up-to-date on how she is feeling. She never held anything back, once again her honesty was right there for ALL of us to listen to. Would I have that kind of will and determination to make a whole city feel comfortable about what she is going through? I doubt it. Her seat has been occupied for some time now by Scott McGowan...

...but we still hear her laugh, and feel her Christmas spirit...

Speaking only for myself now, Dolly, I believe in the power of prayer, AND speaking for the whole city of Bismarck and Mandan I say this - "Our Thoughts Are Always, ALWAYS With You"
