As the preseason comes to an end, people get traded and some get paid.

Odell Beckham Jr got paid... a lot! The official word is 5 years 95 million with 45 million guaranteed. Makes him the highest paid WR in the history of the NFL (this week).

Here's the word from ESPN.

Odell Beckham Jr. Has agreed to a five-year extension with the New York Giants that makes him the highest-paid wide receiver in football, a source told ESPN's Josina Anderson.

The three-time Pro Bowl receiver can receive a maximum $95 million over the course of the deal with $65 million in guaranteed money. The deal eclipses Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown's $17 million per year average and tops Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans' $55 million in total guarantees.

Beckham is set to make $8.4 million on the fifth-year option of his rookie contract. The agreement reworks Beckham's 2018 contract into a $1.459 million salary with a $20 million signing bonus. The Giants will save $3 million against the cap.

He's 25 and coming to end of his rookie deal, so it makes sense why the Giants made this move as opposed to trading him. Plus he's a massive stud.

Personally, I'm not a big Odell Beckham Jr fan because he is so demonstrative on the field and he loses his cool too much in games, but one can't deny the talent he has. I can't wait till he comes across the middle in the 2 games the Eagles play him this year.
