Much like the attacks on 9/11, it's safe to assume that we'll see enlistment rates in our Armed Forces jump up in the near future, after the Boston Marathon bombings. One former Marine has already decided to re-enlist, which will end his NFL dreams.

Wide Receiver Brandon O'Brien had already served four years in the Marines and been deployed twice to Iraq before suiting up for the Montana State-Northern Lights. He may not have received a ton of recognition before the NFL combines, but he did turn heads as a 30-year old rookie prospect from a small Montana college at the combines.

O'Brien has decided, though, to put an end to his NFL dreams to re-enlist in the Marines after Monday's attacks at the Boston Marathon.

It's because of people like Brandon O'Brien that we're able to lead the lives we do as Americans and our appreciation cannot be overstated for what he's planning to do.
