If I were an NFL player, I'd probably spend my offseason working out and spending my boatloads of cash on strippers...But, hey, that's just me. St. Louis Rams running back Terrance Ganaway decided to spend his offseason just a bit different than I would...He got a job at Jimmy John's.

Ganaway returned to his hometown of Waco, Texas after his season was over and decided he didn't want to have too much free time on his hands. So, in between his workouts, he decided to send out a tweet asking if anyone knew a place that was hiring. A Jimmy John's employee saw Ganaway's tweet and informed him that they had some openings.

Fast forward to a few weeks later and Ganaway is on the sandwich production line, cranking out Jimmy John's subs "freaky fast". Ganaway knows that his first job is to be an NFL running back and he doesn't want people to think that he's giving up his NFL dreams to become a sandwich artist. Basically, he just wanted something to do to keep him out of trouble.

It must take an awful lot of humility on the part of Terrance Ganaway to get a job at Jimmy John's or anywhere really. He's an NFL player and, though he's not a star, he still has a mild level of fame. I have no doubt in my mind that the amount of professional athletes that would do something like this is very, very small. So, I say "Kudos" to Ganaway...and don't forget the chips.
