NDSU Bison Football Game Coming To U.S. Bank Stadium?
North Dakota State University enters the spring season riding the longest winning streak in FCS history. The streak started in 2017 and currently stands at 38 games. Not to shabby Bison nation! In comparison, the longest streaks in Division 1 football history include, Oklahoma at 47 going back to 1953 to 1957, followed by Washington at 40 from 1908 to 1914. So, you have to go back a very long ways to find a streak anywhere close to what the Bison are currently have going on.
I think it's pretty safe to say, North Dakota State University will break Washington's record this spring, and will have a shot to cruise by Oklahoma's all-time record as well.
As we gear up for another season of Bison football, it appears the Bison football team is looking to showcase their talents on a bigger stage. Sources in Washington say North Dakota State University and Eastern Washington have an agreement in principal to play a game in 2023 at U.S. Bank Stadium, according to an article on InForum.
There were rumors in the college football world the Bison would be playing start up Division 1 St. Thomas at U.S. Bank Stadium, but that appears to have been speculation. However, as always with college football games, until the ink is dry on the contract, nothing is guaranteed. U.S. Bank Stadium is the home of course to my favorite football team and yours, the Minnesota Vikings.
Eastern Washington and North Dakota State University met in the FCS Championship back in 2018 with the Bison winning 38-24.
