Due to heavy snow and slush accumulating on the roadways Sunday, the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) has issue a travel alert for south central North Dakota.

According to a press release, the areas included in the travel alert are Bismarck, Selfridge, Wishek, Jamestown, and surrounding areas.

When the NDDOT issues a travel alert, that doesn't mean that travel is restricted. It does mean that those traveling should be prepared for changing conditions, as the storm continues to move through the area.

The NDDOT encourages travels to monitor road conditions by calling 511 or visiting DOT.ND.GOV.
