Winners in six of their last seven games, the Minnesota Vikings are beginning to turn a few heads with their play during the 2019 season. Coming off a big win on the road over the Dallas Cowboys, and a 20 point come from behind victory over the Denver Broncos...The Vikings have made it known to the rest of the NFL that they are a legitimate championship contender this year.

At 8-3, Minnesota doesn’t currently have the best record in the league, or even in the NFC. However, it hasn’t prevented the Vikings from being recognized as the top team in their conference this week after their most recent victory.

According to the latest ESPN NFL Football Power Index and FiveThirtyEight Elo ratings, Minnesota currently ranks as the top team in the NFC and the fourth-best team in the NFL.

With five games remaining on their 2019 schedule, Minnesota is still in the running for a first-round playoff bye this year. Their results in upcoming matchups against the Seahawks and Packers will be vital in determining if they can enter the postseason as one of the conference’s top two seeds.

Let's face it.  As a life long Vikings fan, they'll probably blow it...but it's fun to watch right now.  What do you think?
