Minnesota Timberwolves Coach Flip Saunders Dead at 60

Flip Saunders, who coached the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves for eleven seasons, passed away Sunday, October 25th, at the age of 60.

Saunders was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in August of this year, though doctor's had said that the cancer was 'very treatable and curable,' according to ESPN.

On Friday, October 23rd, the Timberwolves announced that Saunders would miss the entire 2015-16 season to continue treatment. He passed away early Sunday.

Saunders led the Timberwolves to eight straight playoff appearances in the 90s and early 2000s. He also spent time with the Detroit Pistons and Washington Wizards, before joining ESPN as an analyst.
