The Twin Cities will be rockin' on Saturday, August 20th, when Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Metallica take the stage for the first-ever rock concert at the new home of the Minnesota Vikings, U.S. Bank Stadium.

Metallica will be joined by Avenged Sevenfold and Volbeat for this once-in-a-lifetime concert, which coincides with the opening weekend of the new stadium.

According to Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich, the band had so much fun performing the night before the Super Bowl at their hometown stadium, AT&T Park, that they couldn't turn down the opportunity to be a part of another 'special weekend.'

Tickets to see Metallica at U.S. Bank Stadium go on sale Friday, March 25th, at 10 a.m. at all Ticketmaster locations, including Ticketmaster.com.

The band will also host an exclusive presale for members of their fan club beginning March 22nd.
