Meet New Salem Sue

With summer cooking now, many of us are enjoying the great outdoors...On a trip back home to Elgin this past weekend we decided to take I-94 back to Bismarck and as we neared home we glanced up at New Salem Sue off in the distance. My husband who was born and raised in ND said .... "I have never been up to see her".

I thought to myself....I was up to see her only once when I was 5 or 6.....I suggested we take a detour and take the kids up to meet this famous Holstein...So, we did! My son Grant had a blast...and the view from atop the hill is gorgeous! She is free to see but donations are always appreciated since Sue needs to keep looking good!!!

It is funny how when you live somewhere you usually travel out of state to see tourist attractions....So, I suggest you check out ND Attractions....We have much to see here in ND!
