Manti Te’o Was Talking to a GUY the Whole Time!

This Manti Te'o story keeps getting weirder and weirder as the days pass. And, by "weirder and weirder"...I actually mean more and more awesome. Now, it turns out that Te'o was never actually speaking to a woman at all. It was the same guy...THE WHOLE TIME.

Ronaiah Tuiasosopo's lawyer insists that his client was the voice on the other end of over 1,000 phone calls. If you'll recall, it was first believed that Tuiasosopo had a few accomplices in this whole scheme but it turns out...he acted alone.

So, let's recap. Manti Te'o meets a woman online whom he falls in love with. After talking over the course of four months, she passes away from leukemia on the exact same day as Te'o's grandmother. A few months later, Te'o gets a phone call from the supposedly deceased girlfriend. Surprise! She's still alive...Sort of. Te'o learns that this has all been an elaborate hoax started by Tuiasosopo. He decides to come clean and talk about the hoax but says he has nothing to do with it and he's embarassed. A few more days pass and now we learn that Te'o was never actually involved or speaking to a girl at all. It was one person...a man...the entire time.
