We've all seen those videos of deaf people hearing for the first time. Obviously, it's a momentous occasion, but what if the person didn't hear exactly what they expected?

That's the question this short film attempts to answer.

Sure, it starts out the same way most of the viral videos featuring people getting cochlear implants do: He gets the implant, can hear, and it's amazing!

Amazing, that is, until his wife walks in and he hears her voice for the first time.

Needless to say, this video takes a moment in life that should be happy and jovial and drives it down a very dark path.
