At this time last year, we had windchills around -50. This year has been much better.

Like 10 gazillion times better. It's basically been Spring as far as I'm concerned. Unfortunately, cold weather is coming.

The good news is if a 'true Christmas' to you means sitting by a fire, and sipping on some hot cocoa, it's going to be the perfect weather to do that.

According to the National Weather Service, we can expect 'very cold' temperatures starting next week and lasting through Christmas.

The worst part of it all is that they don't get specific. I suppose 'very dangerous windchills could accompany the cold air' is specific enough. But it feels like going to a restaurant that doesn't list their prices on the menu. You know it's going to be a large bill.

A 'cold weather forecast' that doesn't specify the temperatures makes me think it's not going to be a fun time.

Of course if we are being technical, it's still the Fall. Winter doesn't technically begin until Dec. 21 and it just so happens that is the first day we can experience the extreme cold.

Just when we thought this winter wasn't so bad, we are reminded of the fact that it isn't even winter yet.

Chapstick and dry skin cream sales are about to skyrocket.
