There is no known cause of Autism which is why awareness is so important. Come support World Autism Awareness Day at this free event on Saturday, April 7th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Horizon Middle School.

According the Autism Society, Autism (ASD) is a developmental disability. It affects a person’s ability to communicate or interact with others. In 2014, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that Autism numbers have risen to 1 in every 68 births in the United States.
Bring a non perishble food item or hygene product to support local organizations.
Certain behaviors of Autism include:
- Delayed learning of language
- Difficulty making eye contact
- Holding a conversation
- Difficulty with executive functioning
- Narrow, intense interest
