Kirk Cousins has the number one quarterback rating in the 4th quarter among all NFL quarterbacks this season.  His last 5 games he has 12 touchdowns to only one interception.  Yet, Minnesota Vikings fans continue to grumble, "that he's not very good in the 4th quarter."  "Cousins can never generate a 2 minute comeback."  "Cousins is never clutch."  Kirk Cousins silenced those critics for at least a week, after a 28-27 come from behind win over the Carolina Panthers in Minneapolis.

Cousins ended up having one of his best games of his career.  Cousins finished with 307 passing yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winning score when he connected with wide receiver Chad Beebe late in the fourth quarter with 45 seconds remaining.  Beebe went from "goat" to "hero" after muffing a punt in the second half that looked like it was going to cost the game for the Vikings.

Former Minnesota Viking quarterback Teddy Bridgewater did put the Panthers in position to win the game at the end, but place kicker Joey Slye missed a 54 yard field goal to improve Minnesota's record to 5-6.  Bridgewater was not very impressive in the loss, and misfired on several throws in the second half, that could've put the game away for Carolina.

Minnesota will now face the 1-10 Jacksonville Jaguars in Minneapolis on Sunday.  Jacksonville continues to spiral out of control and fired their General Manager after their game on Sunday.  Minnesota is only one game out of the playoff race now.  The Vikings will have a chance to get to .500, and even their record at 6-6 with a win on Sunday.
