Jacksonville State defeated Sam Houston State 62-10 Saturday afternoon (12/19), which means they are headed to Frisco, TX to take on North Dakota State for the FCS Championship on January 9th!

Jacksonville State quarterback Eli Jenkins threw 247 yards and two touchdowns, while running back Troymaine Pope ran for 181 yards and two touchdowns in the Gamecocks blowout of Sam Houston State.

The #1-seeded Gamecocks have outscored their opponents by 68 points en route to the championship game. Meanwhile, the #3-seeded Bison have outscored their opponents by 67 points.

This will be NDSU's fifth straight appearance in the FCS Championship game in Frisco. They have won the previous four times. This will be Jacksonville State's first ever appearance in the FCS Championship, though they did win the Division II championship back in 1992.

The Bison and Gamecocks will square off in Frisco, TX on Saturday, January 9th. Kickoff will be at 11 a.m. CST and you'll be able to see the game on ESPN2.
