As we head into Memorial Day Weekend, the United States' gas prices are at their highest since 2014.

According to Valley News Live, the price of gas is the highest it has been since 2014. The report states that, with the national average price being just over three dollars a gallon, the cost is up about one dollar since last year. Get the details about the Memorial Day gas prices here.

In May 2020, the average price of gas in North Dakota was $1.26.

While it can be expected that gas prices will rise around a holiday, it is still no fun to fill up when the 2020 national average pretty much topped out at $1.96 a gallon by the end of May. And the state average was only $1.26 in North Dakota at that time! We are paying more like $1.50 more this Memorial Day Weekend.

While the current average price of gas in California is over four dollars, the price in North Dakota is still under three dollars.

If you were in California, there is a chance you would pay over four dollars a gallon this weekend, but, if you are traveling around North Dakota, filling up your vehicle should not be incredibly painful. I looked at prices in Bismarck, Dickinson, Williston, Minot, Grand Forks, Fargo, and Jamestown. The prices are pretty level across the state, but it looks like Bismarck may have the cheapest gas this weekend!

In most of the state, including Bismarck, the price of gas ranges between $2.70 to $2.89 a gallon. But Sam's Club in Bismarck is selling Unleaded for $2.44 a gallon.
