Are you feeling the heat? Well, you'll get to feel it for another day, because The National Weather Service has extended the HEAT ADVISORY for the area through Wednesday, July 20th.

This new advisory is in effect from 12 p.m. through 9 p.m. CST. The effected areas includes Dunn, Oliver, Mclean, Sheridan, Wells, Morton, Burleigh, Grant, Sioux, Emmons and Mercer counties.

The daytime temperature will be near or above 100 in most areas and the heat indices will be near 105 to 110.

These are very dangerous temperatures. Be sure to check on the elderly, find cool places including the shopping malls, libraries and public places.

Be considerate of pets and livestock, bringing pets inside or offering shade and cool water. Workers outside should take plenty of breaks and stay hydrated.
