Ok, first of all. a couple of tips to the genius Brainard who may have thought of this evil, brilliant idea - 1) When you are strategically trying to snake people out of their life savings, it's always best when you hire someone who can type out your "official" e-mail scam who KNOWS HOW TO SPELL. I mean listen, not to brag or anything, but I knew how to spell TAX when I was four days old.

The sad thing is, that people WILL fall for this, and eventually, all their personal information gets gobbled up, and before they know it they are out big-time money. A friend of mine in Minot opened up one of these fake offerings and corrupted his work computer. There are some things you can do if you receive what is called a Phishing e-mail - According to consumer.ftc.gov

What to Do If You Responded to a Phishing Email

If you think a scammer has your information, like your Social Security, credit card, or bank account number, go to IdentityTheft.gov. There you’ll see the specific steps to take based on the information that you lost. If you think you clicked on a link or opened an attachment that downloaded harmful software, update your computer’s security software. Then run a scan.

Always protect your personal information, "Always better to be safe than sorry"
