Three Pizzas Frank Gallo Loves at Bruno’s Pizza

Bruno's Pizza has an amazing lunch deal: For $10.99 you get a fountain pop and all you can eat pizza served directly to you. (No messy buffet). Five to seven pizza choices are offered for the lunch special, which runs 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for dine-in customers only.

The daily lunch special choices rotate among their most popular toppings and combos. Overall, they have 32 pizzas on the menu, plus calzones, salads, pasta, wings, desserts and more. They even have gluten-free pizzas!

Of course, I couldn't pop in to check out their lunch specials without sampling several. Here are my three favorite flavor combos:

The Chicken Alfredo: This pizza offers a different taste than what you will usually get when looking at chicken pizza. The Alfredo sauce is dynamite and the pepper gives that little hint of spice to the chicken. Luckily, there were others eating this pie with me. Otherwise, I would’ve crushed the entire pie myself.

The Marauder: I originally tried this pizza because of the snazzy name but after a slice of this, I was hooked! This pizza has everything a meat lover loves but also has that hot spiciness if you’re into that sort of thing. I never had hot sauce on pizza before, but now I love it. This one is like if an Italian got arrested in Tijuana and made friends with the Mexicans in prison then they collaborated to make a pizza together. Sort of.

The Pesto Garlic Chicken: I’m Italian, in case you haven’t noticed, and Italians like a couple of things: eating, garlic, cheese and garlic. This pizza has all of that. I can eat pesto for days but it’s not for the faint of heart. The sauce on this one is pretty ridiculous but not overpowering. It balances the garlic chicken well and the dough makes this a nice flavorful treat. I am so glad a pizza spot in Bismarck has this type of pizza!
