The San Diego Chargers picked North Dakota State Bison star Kyle Emanuel with the 153rd pick in this year's NFL Draft and he did not make them regret it in his NFL debut.

Emanuel recorded three tackles, including a sack, and an interception, picking off a pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford, in the Chargers' 33-28 win over the Detroit Lions.

Emanuel was the 2014 Buck Buchanan Award winner for the Bison, which is awarded to the most outstanding defensive player in the FBS. He was the first player from NDSU to ever win the award.

The Chargers are on the road next weekend to take on the Cincinnati Bengals, who also won their week one game.
