After spending his rookie season with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, former North Dakota State University running back Sam Ojuri has decided to spend his sophomore season playing with a different Canadian Football League team.

Ojuri signed a deal to play for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, it was announced on Sunday (June 7th).

According to WDAZ, Ojuri is the fourth player with North Dakota ties on the Roughriders roster, which also included former NDSU wide receiver Ryan Smith and former University of North Dakota wide receivers Weston Dressler and Greg Hardin.

During his career at NDSU, Ojuri ran for over 3,500 yards and 33 touchdowns.

Ojuri played in only one game last season for the Tiger-Cats. Hopefully, a change of scenery will increase his playing time.
