I said it earlier today...One of the best things about the NCAA Tournament is the fact that any team can win at any time. Wisconsin was upset earlier today by Ole Miss, which destroyed a lot of brackets but...if that wasn't enough...#15 Florida Gulf Coast just knocked off #2 Georgetown!

This was probably my favorite game of the tournament up to this point. Georgetown had absolutely no right to even make this a game at the end. Florida Gulf Coast played smothering defense, ran Georgetown all over the floor, and dominated almost every facet of the game. They deserved the win and I'm glad they got it, even if they did ruin my bracket even more.

Not only did FGCU dominate every facet of the game but they also dominated the crowd. I believe I heard the commentators say that FGCU had a very small contingency of fans that traveled with them to the game in Philadelphia and by the final horn...the entire crowd was behind them. What a great thing to witness and a great thing for a team that has only been tournament eligible for two seasons.

And, if you missed the game, you missed the most exciting play of the tournament:
