The Missouri Valley YMCA is proud to announce a partnership with the USDA for the "Farmers to Families" program, will be providing FREE, fresh food to families in need in the Bismarck Mandan community.

This event will take place on Tuesday, April 20th at 1 pm in the North parking lot of the Kirkwood Mall in Bismarck.  Food boxes are offered on a first-come, first served basis and are available to the entire community, with no eligibility requirements.

Through the support of a generous federal program, along with Y donors and volunteers, the YMCA is pleased to provide over 1000 meal boxes to local families facing food insecurity. These family-sized food boxes contain quality produce, dairy and meats, to provide nourishment to youth, seniors and adults in our area. Your Y has always endeavored to meet the immediate wellness needs of our community and with 1 in 7 families now experiencing hunger, the Y is pleased to be able to help address this critical issue as well.

In a press-release from the YMCA in Bismarck, YDC Director and project lead, Mindy Garland-Sayler, says of this impactful program, “Food insecurity has increased sharply over the last year across the country and North Dakota is no exception. Farmers to Families is an amazing opportunity for the Y to continue our mission of serving the Bismarck/Mandan area and meet a growing need.”

US 103-3 and the rest of our Townsquare Media stations will be on hand playing music for the cars in line and passing out some swag too.  Please, join us again on Tuesday, April 20th at 1pm in the North end parking lot at Kirkwood Mall.
