If you're looking for North Dakota's best beer bar, as determined by Thrillist, you better head to the east side of the state and check out Fargo's Würst Bier Hall.

To come up with their list, Thrillist focused on establishments that 'obsess over beer and cater to those who do the same.' They also tried to avoid brewpubs and stick to places that were serving up beers from other breweries, instead of their own.

While the state of North Dakota has quite a few beer bars that are worth visiting, Thrillist says the Würst Bier Hall tops them all, thanks to their huge selection of German beer and, of course, their Das Boot challenge.

Opened in 2014, Würst Bier Hall has 36 beers on tap, along with bratwurst, mettwurst, schnitzel and other German food.

The Würst Bier Hall was also named 2014's best new business and best new restaurant by the High Plains Reader.

If you're looking for a more local option, Bismarck offers quite a few different 'beer bar' options, including The Walrus, Tap-In Tavern, and JL Beers.
