President Trump's executive order, which bans refugees from seven countries, has held out approximately 40 new arrivals from coming to North Dakota.

According to Lutheran Social Services, the new arrivals have been through years of screening. CEO Jessica Thomasson says the refugees are not threats, just simply members of the community.

One of the LSS translators, who has a visa, is stranded in Turkey due to his country of origin.

Refugees from Bhutan and the Republic of the Congo are on their way and will be allowed entry.
