At no point in my life have I driven past a large piece of roadkill and thought "Boy, that looks delicious!" I guess folks in Montana may be a little different than me because a bill has been passed by the House of Representatives that would allow people to salvage the meat from roadkill.

State Representative Steve Lavin is one of the proponent's of the bill and while he does realize that some people will find the law odd, he quickly points out how much meat is going to waste at the roadside:

"As people know, people hit a lot of animals on roadways, and I mean a ton of them. There’s a lot of good meat being wasted out there."

Many different types of game could potentially be salvaged if this bill passes, including bighorn sheep and bears. So, the next time you drive through Montana, you may be able to find food to feed your family for weeks! Dinner's served!
