The wait is almost over. Hometown star Carson Wentz will take the field in Thursday night's preseason game, according to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The former Bison quarterback will take the field for his debut Thursday night in the Eagles' preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

According to head coach Doug Pederson, Wentz will play "a lot" in the second half of the game.

I'm sure a bunch of hometown folks will be taping the debut of the Bismarck native.
