It's no secret that Fargo Brewing Co. is the most popular brewery in North Dakota, but with the continually growing popularity of craft beer, new breweries are popping up all of the state.

Sure, Fargo Brewing Co. produces some delicious beers, including their IPA, Wood Chipper, and their porter, Sodbuster, which is a personal favorite. Fargo Brewing Co., however, isn't the only brewery producing great beer here in North Dakota.

Thrillist recently set out to find the most underrated brewery in every state and in North Dakota, the title went to Drekker Brewing Company, also located in Fargo.

According to their website, DrekkerBrewing.com, Drekker Brewing Company has brewed fifteen beers over the years, including their American pale ale, Azacca Attacka, and their American brown ale, Hell Bent.

So, what led Thrillist to pick Drekker as North Dakota's most underrated brewery? Here's what they had to say:

Whenever somebody talks about NoDak, Fargo inevitably comes up. That goes double for beer, since Fargo Brewing Co. has long been the biggest name in a pretty sparse field. Still, there are other breweries scattered throughout, and Drekker -- which ditches cinematic references for Viking ones -- is cultivating a cult based around its strong, confident offerings which range from the high-octane Nightman Cometh imperial stout to the Broken Rudder IRA and quality pale ales for days. North Dakota might not have a lot of breweries, but with spots like Drekker doing their things, it's at least got quality on lock.

Drekker Brewing Co. is still pretty new to North Dakota, having only launched relatively recently. Unfortunately, that means that their beer isn't readily available across the state, but that could be changing soon.

If you're looking for a few more underrated breweries in North Dakota that are worth checking out, might we suggest downtown Bismarck's Laughing Sun and Mandan's Buffalo Commons.
