Not good news if you're looking to shop there for school supplies.

The U.S. PIRG Education Fund’s campaign for toxic-free products tested a number of different crayon brands with alarming results.

Of all the brands tested Playschool Crayons sold at Dollar tree tested positive for the banned substance.  The asbestos was found in the green crayon.

A spokesperson for playschool's parent company Hasbro is conducting an internal investigation and Leap year publishing has also told the Tribune that it is looking into the matter.

You know ... it's always the green crayon that is faulty... Seriously though, it's really good work that the U.S. PIRG does and it's great that this has come out right as a good amount of these products are being purchased.

It's also good to see everyone that's involved being proactive from Dollar Tree to the Manufacturer.
