The Detroit Lions have been known for making terrible picks in the NFL Draft. Luckily for us Lions fans, they've turned it around recently with selections like Calvin Johnson and Ndamukong Suh. Tonight, the Lions had the #5 pick in the draft and they picked a guy who thought it'd be a good idea to wear broken 3D movie theater glasses to the event.

BYU defensive end Ziggy Ansah only began playing American football in 2010, after moving here from Ghana. In one full season as a starter, Ansah totaled 62 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Not only did he learn how to play football and play it well, but I guess he also picked up on some of the ridiculous American fashion traits, including the "rimmed glasses without lenses" look. Unfortunately, no one told Ziggy that if you couldn't afford legitimate frames, wearing 3D movie theater glasses was not a viable alternative.

Leave it to the Detroit Lions to become the laughing stock of the NFL Draft, even after making a relatively decent pick.
