Another year, another list of the worst jobs, which, as always, features broadcasters right near the top.

According to CareerCast.com, the two worst jobs in 2014 are lumberjack and reporter, which actually go hand-in-hand, considering the paper newspapers are printed on comes from the wood pulp lumberjacks help provide.

Elsewhere on the list is broadcaster, which is ranked as the fifth worst job of 2014, with an average salary of over $55,000 (which seems just a tad high). Here's what CareerCast.com had to say about the industry I've come to love:

The industry faces an unfavorable long-term job outlook, resulting in fewer opportunities for aspiring broadcasters. As a result, competition is high, and so is stress.

Here's the complete list of the Top Ten Worst Jobs of 2014:

  1. Lumberjack
  2. Reporter
  3. Enlisted Military Personnel
  4. Taxi Driver
  5. Broadcaster
  6. Head Cook
  7. Flight Attendant
  8. Garbage Collector
  9. Firefighter
  10. Corrections Officer

And, what is the best job of 2014? Mathematician, with an average salary of over $100,000.

Crunch numbers all day or play music, meet bands, and drink beer?? I'll stick to having one of the worst jobs of the year, thank you very much.
