Let's do this!

The 25th Annual Fargo Bluesfest will be jamming at Newman Outdoor Field both Friday and Saturday, August 7th and 8th! Hopefully the crowd does a little less "jamming".  Keep some social distance and maybe we can all start getting more social!

I think for North Dakota, the Fargo Bluesfest could be in the right to proclaim this is the "biggest event of the summer'!  Since Great White playing on a street in Dickinson is the competition, I'm going to give it to Bluesfest.

So Fargo, Who ya got?

Friday:

  • 3rd Street Blues Band
  • Dave Weld and the Imperial Flames
  • Shawn Holt and the Teardrops
  • Larry McCray
  • Nick Moss Band
  • Anthony Gomes

Saturday:

  • Heart and Soul
  • Scottie Miller Band
  • Johnny Rawls
  • Shannon Curfman
  • Albert Castiglia
  • Albert Cummings

I like listening to the blues, but generally have no idea who the groups or individuals are.  But if you read the short bio-pieces on the website right here- you'll see they're all pretty darn well respected by big time blues individuals and organizations.

They'll have hand sanitizers set up around the grounds and you can even bring your own. But before you start filling a jug with Everclear- they're limiting the size to two ounces.  You can buy a mask on-site for just a coupla bucks; but you're not required to wear it.

I hope everyone has a great time and stays safe.  I don't believe the blues crowd forms a mosh pit very often.

Don't forget your sunscreen!
